Nurturing the Future Generation of Noble Sangha For the Preservation of Buddha Dharma

Inspired by the words of wisdom from the great sage and scholar Sakya Pandita, we have strong conviction that education is a reliable means for the development of the world and particularly for our young monks who will one day become teachers, translators and ritual masters who are able to guide and help the Buddhist community.

To fulfil the vast aspiration of His Holiness Ratna Vajra Rinpoche, the Education Department was established in Sakya Centre in 2017 where a new curriculum was implemented to uphold and improve the traditional training of young monks complemented by modern education.
